Tomorrow's *Essential Energies Forecast: everybody who was able to take advantage of the time change and get an extra hour's sleep on the 4th will be glad they did because deriving the most benefit from prevailing external energies on the 5th will demand that significant personal energy be brought to bear. This will be particularly true as respects mental pursuits both large and small, with an emphasis on choices. Tomorrow will not be a day for short term thinking or cutting corners. Neither will it be propitious for allowing our hearts to make decisions on their own. Emotion will have its place as it always does, but if it's not tempered by reason, the chances of running amok will be greater than usual. As often as you can, step outside yourself for a minute. Take a deep breath, or two, or three, and try to assess your position from a variety of angles. Don't allow the immediate to overshadow the forthcoming.
For many of us, integrity could be an issue on the 5th. Questions are apt to arise about whether or not to tell the truth in a given situation and if so, how much of it. Generally speaking the answers will be 'yes' and 'all', but the manner in which we communicate will be co-equally important. Candor should not under any circumstances entail callousness or rudeness. More cautions for tomorrow: bear in the mind the vast difference between possessing a virtue and 'virtue signalling'. Similarly , remember that authentic concern for another individual is never wielded like a club. It's become fashionable these days to disguise passive aggression as compassion, so be certain of your own motives should you be tempted to do or say something for someone else's ostensible 'own good'.
Bonus tip: tomorrow is likely to include a number of what I think of as 'Leave It To Beaver moments' during which a really goofy idea can take on the fleeting appearance of a promising opportunity. If you feel inclined to emulate one of the Cleavers, let it be Ward or June or even Wally as opposed to young Theodore.
